Dr. Selene Wilkinson is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Doula. Although Selene maintains a general family practice, she has developed strong clinical experience with women's health, fertiility and pediatrics as well as digestive and hormonal issues. Selene has an integrated approach to her practice through incorporating a wide variety of treatment modalities such as acupuncture, Asian medicine, nutrition, homeopathy, botanical medicine, physical medicine and counselling.Selene graduated from The University of Western Ontario and following this, completed her four-year degree in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Selene has additional training in Homeopathy at The Toronto School of Homeopathy.
Selene has appeared on the Steven and Chris show on CBC, has been a speaker and a writer for Women of Influence and has been a writer for MSN Canada. Selene enjoys lecturing about various topics related to Naturopathic Medicine and environmental issues. Selene is an active member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors (APND), as well as the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND).
In Ontario, Naturopathic Doctors have at least seven years of post-secondary education, graduate from one of the six accredited educational institutions in North America, receive their professional licensing from the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy (BDDT-N), as well as complete and pass two sets of international licensing exams (NPLEX).
